The benefits are limitless

Ameson Mesopeel is a professional chemical peeling system for skin’s renewal, brightness and softness, aimed at rejuvenating, regenerating, hydrating, normalising, activating or enhancing the skin. This system is based on organic acids and consists of 4 stages: preparation, peeling, neutralisation and regeneration. There are a variety of Mesopeels available to meet the needs of every client & target a variety of skin types & problem.

How does Ameson MesoPeel work?

The outer layer of the skin has compacted multiple layers of cells. This layer has a specific and important role to protect against environmental damage, protection of the deeper tissues and prevent dehydration. The layers of cells naturally shed daily and are held together by a type of cellular ‘glue’. This process in youth works at a greater speed but as we age, it slows down. A chemical peel speeds up this process, revealing fresh new cells which give an instant glow!

The AHAs ( alpha hydroxy acids) used in the AMESON MESOPEEL series include mandelic acid, lactic acid  and glycolic acid.
AHAs are primarily used for:
  • Mild hyperpigmentation like age spots, melasma, and scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine lines and surface wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone

The BHA (beta hydroxy acids) used in the AMESON MESOPEEL is salicylic acid and azelaic acid’s action (AZA).

BHA is less aggressive & irritating and has additional antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties for:
  • Blocked pores
  • Dead skin
  • Acne
  • Oily skin

What are the benefits of a chemical peel?

  1. Improve the texture of your skin
  2. Increase the cell turnover rate of your skin
  3. Help your skin produce more collagen
  4. Reduce fine lines
  5. Decrease hyperpigmentation
  6. Unclog pores and help clear up acne
  7. Leave your skin smooth
  8. Make your skin look more even-tone
  9. Make your skin look dewy
  10. Improve minor scarring

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend a course of six chemical peels with a minimum of two weeks in between.
A single treatment can be added on to one of our specialist facials or Dermapen (micro-needling) to give your skin a fresh dewy glow.

What does a Mesopeel feel like?

A  slight stinging, prickly or itching sensation is felt by most individuals. However depending on your skin’s sensitivity levels you may experience no irritation at all and this has no effect on the outcome of your treatment.

What are the possible side effects?

Mild facial redness is generally expected after the treatment however this varies from person to person, most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Some dryness or flaking of skin can occur but this does not happen with everyone and will not effect the outcome of your treatment.
You will receive a complimentary skin repair product to use post treatment but we also recommend a good quality moisturiser and daily SPF.
Heliocare 360 is our SPF of choice and is available to purchase in clinic.

What is the aftercare advise?

  • Use recommended daily skincare and SPF to relieve the symptoms of redness, inflammation, swelling, tightness or flakiness and protect from further damage.
  • The use of scrubs or active ingredients such vitamin A or AHA’s and perfumed products should be stopped for a minimum of 7 days, or until the peeling has subsided.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and sunbeds for 2 weeks after treatment as the skin will be sensitive.
  • Any redness may be easily concealed with a mineral make-up.
  • It is recommended to avoid high cardio workouts and any activities that may cause heat or sweat for a minimum of 48 hours post treatment.
  • It is recommended to avoid saunas, steam rooms and swimming for a minimum of 48 hours post treatment
